In the absolute- judgement tasks, children were asked to make absolute estimates of the number of objects which a experimenter presented. Results of correct response and strategies showed that 3-year-old children accurately judged the number of objects below three,4-year-old children did the number of objects within four, and 5-year-old children did the number of objects below 10. These results suggested that preschool children understood small numbers accurately.
