In this study we investigated immunological regulation by this polysaccharide at the cellular level in human monocyte-like cell line U937. The percentage of positive cells and the mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) of CD11b antigen on the U937 cells were significantly up-regulated, and the cells morphologically altered by culture with the polysaccharide for 96 hr. On the other hand, the U937 cells cultured with the polysaccharide were found to produce interleukin-8 (IL-8) at 24 and 48 hr according to the results of an enzyme immunoassay (EIA), and the differences between the presence and absence of the polysaccharide were significant (P=0.0029 and P=0.0016, respectively). These findings indicate that a polysaccharide produced by Aureobasidium pullulans FERM-P4257 significantly up-regulated human immune responses.}, pages = {5--9}, title = {Aureobasidium pululans FERM-P4257由来の多糖によるCD11b抗原の発現増強とインターロイキン8(IL-8)の産生}, volume = {3}, year = {2002}, yomi = {イケワキ, ノブナオ and フジイ, ノボル and オナカ, タカシ} }
