I report the results of a questionnaire survey and discuss problems from the point of interactions between environment and other related factors. The aims of the study are to find suppressive factors preventing mentally disabled persons from going out of home and to improve their out of home experiences by addressing these factors. 65 mentally impaired individuals were given an interview. Results show the main factors obstructing these persons were a shortage of public transportation, difficulties in getting a drivers license, a luck of full-time employment, inadequate information about support services and few opportunities to meet with friends.
