| 内容記述 | This paper investigates social welfare's ideas in oriental thought that have been until now overlooked in contemporary social welfare studies, focusing in particular on "Han Fei zi." The conventional ideology of Han Fei zi has been that law takes top priority, especially insisting on a policy of severe punishment and rejection of benevolence. It has been thought that the ideology or Han Fei zi is incompatible with that of contemporary welfare. However, as opposed to the long-standing views on Han Fei zi, in this paper it is shown that Han Fei zi realizes the importance of aiding the weak and that it possesses a system to help them as well as not to create them, and furthermore that the rigid application of law makes all of this possible. With this in mind, the Han Fei zi ideology appears to not contradict welfare ideology by any means. Rather, it appears to be quite similar to current social welfare ideology. | |||||
